Our courses Extensive courses
For organisations that prefer their language training to be a regular
feature of the working week over an extended period of time. With between
two and six hours of training per week, content and timetables are
tailored to meet the specific needs and learning goals of each client.
The courses are normally delivered in company, but may also be run
in International House. Intensive courses
With from two to eight hours of training a day for individuals or small
groups, these courses are aimed at people who need to make rapid progress,
but have limited time or are unable to commit to an extensive format.
IH Company Training offers various types of intensive programmes, from
pre-syllabused business skills modules to tailor-made courses designed
to meet client needs. English for Work
Practical and immediately applicable courses that help people use English more confidently and accurately at work. The courses, given at five levels, focus on all the essential skills and situations and are normally offered as open-group courses at IH, though they can also be delivered in-company. The courses can also lead to the new IH - British Chamber of Commerce EuroPro exams in business English.
EuroPro exams
Practical, communicative business English exams developed by International House and the British Chamber of Commerce. The exams are available at three levels and come with an internationally recognised certificate.
Multicentre programme (training for companies with multiple branches)
With 23 centres across Spain and a wide network of associated centres
that act as training partners, International House is able to provide
any company based in Spain with a coherent and co-ordinated training
programme of face to face or on-line training solutions supported by
an on-line data service. Language audit
This service enables companies to realistically assess their language
training needs so that they can focus training programmes in the most
cost-effective and time-efficient ways. On-line training: e-learning and blended learning
Our online e-learning partner is Net Languages, the web's most effective language school, whose courses, based on IH's accumulated teaching experience adapted to the internet, enable you to study from home or work at any time that suits you.
Private classes
Classes that are 100% adaptable to client needs, either to meet specific
learning goals, make rapid progress, or fit into a difficult work schedule. Courses abroad
Executive and standard format courses offering the opportunity to learn
English in the UK, Ireland, the USA or Australia, German in Germany
or French in France or Spanish in Spain, Cuba or Mexico. You can even
choose to learn English while staying at the house of your tutor.
